Greater Sandplover
This individual the first, and so far
only Devon record, was found by Dave Stone, Andy Bond and Ernie Davies at the
high tide roost on 27/4/1988. It returned over each high tide until the 4th of
May. These photos were taken on 1/5/88. What was presumably the same bird was
refound 12 days later in south Wales. This was the eighth British record.
